EARLYSVILLE, Va. - Josh Schlickenmeyer of the George Mason men's cross country team captured a fifth-place finish at the Cavalier Open on Saturday. The race that was held at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va. Running unattached, Michael Conway finished third.

Conway finished with at time of 15:53.58. Schlickenmeyer was the first Mason finisher with a time of 16:01.83 and a fifth place showing.

Also finishing in the top-10 for the Patriots were James Luehrs (8th, 16:10.37), David Rushing (9th, 16:11.32) and Parker Boudreau (10th, 16:18.18).

Mason returns to the action November 9th for the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships held in Charlotte, N.C.
