The George Mason men's and women's track & field teams
recently announced both its indoor and outdoor schedule in anticipation of the
upcoming 2013 season.
"I'm pleased with the way our schedule has set up for
'12-'13,” said head coach Andrew Gerard. “We've got a good balance of meets,
home and away, challenging and low key, that should prepare us for the
championship season well. It features many of the same fixtures that have
helped us prep in past years and a couple of new meets, so we feel we'll be
well prepared by the time May and June roll around."
The Patriots open their indoor season hosting the annual
Father Diamond Invitational on January 5 and will again serve as meet host on
January 25-26 for the Patriot Games.
The indoor campaign also includes meets at the Armory
Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 1-2), Spire Invitational (Feb. 8-9), Valentines'
Invitational (Feb. 8-9) and Virginia Tech Invitational (Feb. 15-16) before the
Patriots return home to host the Mason Last Chance meet on February 24.
Qualifying individuals will compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston on
March 1-3 and the NCAA Championships at the University of Arkansas March 8-9.

before traveling to the Colonial Relays and VMI Invitational (Mar. 23), Raleigh
Relays (Mar. 29-30) and the Fred Hardy Invitational (Mar. 29-30) to close out
the month of March. April features competitions at the Colonial Relays and
Florida Relays (Apr. 5-6) before Mason hosts its lone outdoor meet of the
season, the Mason Spring Invitational, on April 13. The squad then travels to
the Larry Ellis Invitational (Apr. 19), Michael Johnson Invitational and James
Madison Invitational (Apr. 20) and Penn Relays (Apr. 25-27).
Towson University serves as host of the CAA Championships
this season, taking place May 3-4. Qualifying individuals will then have an

May 10-12 and the NCAA East Region Championships at N.C. A&T on May 23-25.
Those athletes that advance from the East Region Championships will compete at
