Del. - The George Mason women's cross country team took
third at the Blue and Gold Invitational. The race was held Friday, October 12,
at Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Del. The University of Delaware took first
place overall followed by the University of Maryland.
Bethany Sachtleben finished fourth overall with a
time of 21:58.19. This race marked the third consecutive race that Sachtleben
crossed the line first for Mason. Peyton Lowe (22:27.80), Katie Treichel
(22:39.47), and Jennifer Nakamura (22:43.99) also finished in the top-15 for
Mason.
"We did some positive things today but there are
still some things we still need to work on," commented head coach Sita
Waru-Ewell. "We will be tweaking a few things over the next couple of weeks in
preparation for the CAA meet."
Mason will next compete at the CAA Championships on
October 27th at the College of William & Mary.
