RICHMOND, Va. (Jan. 24, 2012) - Seniors Ashley Danner and Derrick Butts have been honored as CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week and CAA Men's Diver of the Week for their performances in the quad-meet between Mason, Army, American and Old Dominion.

Danner led the women to a victory over American (209-81), a tie with Army (150-150) and a loss to ODU (180-120). The standout swimmer won a trio of individual events, the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.42, the 200 breaststroke in 2:19.28 and the 400 individual medley in 4:22.52. The Springfield, Va. native also swam the second leg of Mason's winning 200 medley relay team that clocked in with a time of 1:47.05.

Butts helped George Mason defeat American (198-101) in the same quad meet, by posting a score of 322.85 in the 1-meter dive. In the 3-meter event the senior finished second, with a score of 321. It is the seventh time this season that Butts' has claimed CAA Diver of the Week.
