Men's Swimming Wins Potomac Relays

Washington D.C. - Men's swimming took first place in the Potomac Relays on Friday afternoon on the Campus of American University.  The men totaled 94 points in the meet, followed by Towson's 88 points and George Washington's 80 points.

Mason's men finished in the top five in all nine events including four first place finishes in the 300 Yard Butterfly Relay with a time of 2:36.97, the 500 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 4:11.68, the 400 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 3:40.59 and the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:26.83.

Senior swimmer Preston Wolter swam the final leg in three (500 Freestyle, 400 Medley and 200 Medley) out of Mason's four first place finishes during the meet.

Mason's men's swimming team will compete again next Saturday, October 8th against Navy and Loyola on Loyola's campus in Baltimore, Md.
