Senior Robert Reynolds has been named as the CAA Men's
Co-Runner of the Week for his performance this past Saturday at the Delaware
Invitational in White Clay Creek State Park near the campus of University of
Delaware. Reynolds scored the win at the
Delaware Invitational with a time of 25:45.04. The senior bested a field of 46
runners in the 8K race and helped George Mason finish second out of five teams.
William & Mary's Tyler Jones was also named as CAA Men's
Co-Runner of the Week for winning the William & Mary Invitational.
Reynolds was able to help lead Mason to a second place finish
in the race, losing only to University of Mississippi. Mason was also able to hold on to their
ranking of tenth overall in the Southeast Region as ranked by the U.S. Track
and Field & Cross Country Association.
This marks the second consecutive week that one of Mason's
male cross country runners has been named Co-Runner of the week by the CAA. Last week junior Alex Zyryanov won this
award. Both the men's and women's teams
will race again next weekend on Saturday, October 1st at home in the
Mason Invitational at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Virginia.
