Head coach Bill Brown has announced the 11th
Annual George Mason Baseball Golf Classic will be held on Friday, October 7 at
the South Riding Golf Club. The event will kick off with a clinic and long
drive contest prior to a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The entry deadline for
registration is September 30.
"We are excited to be back at South Riding Club again this
year for our 11th Annual George Mason Baseball Golf Clinic," stated
head coach Bill Brown. "The tournament always gives us a great vehicle to
reconnect with our alumni and friends, and we are most appreciative of their
continued support of our program."
The format for the event will be a four-person captain's
choice with entrance fees set at $150 per person or $600 per foursome. Awards
will go to the top three foursomes and there will be several contest holes, in
addition to a Longest Drive contest, Closest to Pin challenge and Double Your
Money contest. All proceeds from the event will benefit the George Mason
University Baseball Program.
Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and at noon, the John
O'Leary Golf Academy will be on site to conduct a clinic and long drive contest
on Zelocity Launch Monitor.
"This year's event promises to be another great day of fun
and we look forward to having a record turnout this year," remarked Brown.
