The George Mason lacrosse team closes this three-game
homestand welcoming the William and Mary Tribe to George Mason Stadium for a
Friday night contest. The Tribe, ranked in the top 20 in three lacrosse polls
this week, open its Colonial Athletic Association slate against the Patriots
and carry a 5-4 overall mark into the contest. With over a week off, William
and Mary last played on March 29 defeating Navy 17-10. Grace Golden leads the
Tribe with 35 goals on the season, while Sarah Jonson owns a team-best 23
ground balls. Mason is coming off a 12-11 triple overtime victory against
non-conference foe American on Tuesday night. Chelsea Gamble
scored the
game-winning goal with 51 seconds remaining in triple overtime off a pass from
Caitlin Formato
. Emily Ellisen
continues to pace the Patriot offense with 22
goals this season and Brittany Pastrana
boasts a team-best 29 ground balls.
