Fairfax, Va. - The George Mason softball team hosts the Howard Bison on Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader.  The first game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. with the second game following shortly after the conclusion of the first.  The games will be played at the George Mason Softball Complex and live audio will be available for both games.

The Patriots are coming off a weekend series loss in a sweep to the James Madison Dukes and have now lost nine out of their last ten games.  Their records sit at 10-16 and 1-5 in the CAA.  They are currently tied for sixth in the CAA only two games out of a playoff spot.  They look to get back to their winning ways against a Howard team who comes in at 9-16 having won four of their last five games.   

Howard beat Mason in a 6-0 shutout in the only meeting with each other this season.

After this series with Howard the Patriots will host Hofstra in a weekend conference series.  There will be a doubleheader on Saturday, April 9 and a single game on Sunday.  The first game is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. on both days.
