George Mason plays game two of this three-game homestand
welcoming the Delaware Blue Hens to George Mason Stadium Friday night. The
Patriots are coming off a hard-fought loss to No. 11 Virginia Wednesday night.
The non-conference foes entered halftime knotted at two goals apiece, but a
strong second half from the Cavaliers helped the No. 11 team in the nation to
victory. Emily Ellisen leads the Patriots in scoring with 24 goals and five
assists, while goalkeeper Brittany Pastrana has 121 saves in all 13 games
played. Delaware
comes into the contest having won four of the past six matchups and is most
recently coming off a loss at Drexel. The Blue Hens' lone conference win came
against Hofstra in a 7-6 fashion. Corrine Drost is the offensive leader for the
Blue Hens with 26 goals and three assists on the season. Goalkeeper Makenzie
Worthington has recorded 90 saves in 13 games played and leads the team with 24
ground balls.
