Richmond, Va. -
Miranda Cranford
was named the CAA Pitcher of the Week for her performances last week. This is her first time in her career being honored with
this award.
Cranford recorded an
impressive 0.58 ERA to cruise to a 2-0 mark on the mound behind a pair of
starts during the week. The junior pitched five innings and combined for a
shutout in Mason's 7-0 win over Mount St. Mary's, allowing four hits and no
walks. She followed that up by pitching a complete game, giving up just five
hits and one run while striking out three to pick up the win in the Patriots'
2-1 victory over Cornell.
Cranford and the
Patriots will take the field again this weekend when they host Bucknell,
Binghamton, and Cornell at the Mason Invitational.
