The NCAA announced the field for this weekend's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships and Chris Carrington
and the 4X400-meter relay team will each compete for a national championship.
Carrington, who qualified with the third-fastest time in the nation this season, will race in the 800 meters. Carrington ran an automatic qualifying time of 1:47.30 earlier this year at the Valentine Invitational. The prelims of the 800 meters is at 6:15 p.m. on Friday with the finals scheduled for Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
The 4X400-meter team of Ja-Vell Bullard
, Adrian Vaughn
, Nick Vaughn
and David Verburg
earned a spot by posting the 10th-fastest time in the nation this past weekend at the Iowa State Qualifier. They ran a time of 3:07.57. Bullard, N. Vaughn and Verburg were part of last year's relay team that earned All-America honors in the same event. The 4X400-meter relay will be contested at 7:25 p.m. on Saturday.
