--The George Mason wrestling team
finished its season over the weekend at the CAA championships at Rider
University.
Jaaziah Bethea
went the furthest of any Patriot in the
tournament, securing a fourth place finish in the 157-pound weight class.
Greg Scott
also had some success for the
Patriots.
After falling in his first
match to Boston University's
John Hall in his first match, Scott defeated Jacob Henderson in the consolation
bracket of the 197-pound weight class.
However, Brandon Palik of Drexel was able to thwart Scott in his next
match.
Hofstra won the team title for the ninth time in the last 10
years.
The Pride will be sending five
competitors to the NCAA tournament.
The
tournament will be held at the Wells Fargo
Center in Philadelphia
from March 17-19.
