George Mason sophomore Chris Carrington
started his outdoor season strong this past weekend and the Colonial Athletic Association noted his performance by naming him its Men's Track Athlete of the Week.
Carrington, a native of Monticello, N.Y., finished first in the 1500 meters at the Raleigh Relays. He posted a time of 3:50.67, the 28th-best time so far this season in the event. Carrington is fresh off earning NCAA All-American honors in the 800 meters during this past indoor season.
The Patriots will be in action this weekend when they compete at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va. and at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.
