The Patriots men's tennis team defeated Mount St. Mary's 5-2 Friday afternoon at the RAC Tennis Courts on campus. Mason evened their record to 7-7 with the win.
The Green and Gold notched the doubles point winning all three matches. In singles action Mason won matches No. 2 and No. 4-6. Two matches went three sets with each team taking a point. The Patriots Taylor Sargent defeated Mike Zabetakis 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 and the Mounts Taylor Place defeated Jordan Borsanyi 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
Mason will play Colgate at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday at Montclair Country Club. The match was moved from campus because of the forecasted inclement weather.
