The George
Mason men's tennis team defeated Loyola (MD) 4-3 Wednesday afternoon at George
Mason University. Mason improved to 6-7 and the defeat lowered the Greyhounds'
record to 6-2 on the season.
The Patriots captured the doubles
point to open the match with wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles and then collected
wins at the top three singles positions to secure the victory. Sophomore Kevin
McMillen won both his matches at No. 1 singles and doubles. Freshman Taylor
Sargent also won in both singles and doubles earning them from the No. 2
positions.
The Patriots return to action Friday at home against Mount St. Mary's.
