George Mason junior Ashley Danner will get a chance to add
to her All-American honors as she was selected to compete in two events at this
month's NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. Danner will swim in
both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke.
Last season, Danner was second in the NCAA Championships in
the 100-yard breaststroke and was sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke. She was
an All-American in both those events and she was named honorable mention
All-America in the 200-yard individual medley. This year, for the third
straight season, she was the CAA champion in the 100-yard breaststroke,
200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley.
This year, Danner has posted the 13th
-fastest
time in the nation in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.97) and the 22nd
-fastest
time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:10.68).
The NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be
held from March 17-19 in Austin, Texas.
