The George Mason women's
tennis team concluded their spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C., Friday
by splitting their final two matches of the week.
"It was a good week
to get a lot of match play in," commented Coach
Stephen Curtis
. "We
played some tough teams we don't normally get to play. Now we go back,
work on a few things, get healthy and get ready to
play next weekend."
In the morning
match Mason cruised past the Lady Falcons of Concordia University 6-0
at Chaplin Park. A few hours later Mason fell to the Salukis of Southern
Illinois by a 1-6 match score. In the five matches Mason
played this week they won 3 and lost 2.
The Patriots move to 14-9 on the season. The team is back in action next
week as they open their first outdoor weekend at home. It is a three day home stand starting against Mt. St. Mary's on
Friday at 2:30 p.m., Bucknell on Saturday at 11 a.m., the Mason Game of the Week, and Colgate on
Sunday at 10 a.m.
