First meeting
Coming off a loss at New Hampshire,
the George Mason lacrosse team looks to close out its season-opening road swing
with a win on Thursday at Columbia.
Emily Ellisen
and Caitlin Formato
each picked up three goals, while goalkeeper
Brittany Pastrana
recorded 14 saves, but it was not enough as the Patriots fell
at UNH 11-8. With her three goals against the Wildcats, Ellisen owns a
team-leading 12 on the season. Columbia
is coming off a 9-7 loss to Cornell in its first home game of the season. The
Lions opened the season falling to Monmouth and Brown on the road before
picking up their first win at Iona. Olivia
Mann leads the team with 10 goals on the season, while Taylor Gattinella
follows with nine. Thursday's game marks the first meeting between the
non-conference schools in program history.
