The George Mason
wrestling team lost their final match of the season when they traveled to face
the University of Maryland today. The
Terps defeated the Patriots by a score of 42-3 behind the efforts of four
ranked wrestlers. Mason was unable to
pick up a win this season as they fell to 0-21 before the start of the CAA
Championships.
Mason
was forced to forfeit in two matchups as Maryland put together three major
decisions and two falls. Brandon Bucher
was Mason's only wrestler to pick up a win in the match as he beat Dex Lederer
in a 7-0 decision.
The
Patriots will try to extend their season when they take part in the CAA
Championships on March 4-5.
