Johns
Hopkins leads 8-4
Johns Hopkins opens its 2011 campaign playing host to George
Mason on Saturday. Mason looks to rebound off a season-opening loss at UMBC
last Friday in game two of this eight-game road swing. The Blue Jays return eight
starters from last year's squad that went 10-7. Johns Hopkins is 10-7 in
season-openers under current head coach Janine Tucker and has won six of its
last seven with the only loss coming at George Mason in 2008. The
non-conference teams last faced each other on February 20, 2010 with JHU taking
the decision, 14-7.
