FAIRFAX, Va. - Highlighted by nine home games at George Mason Stadium, including three Colonial Athletic Association matchups, fourth-year Mason lacrosse head coach Lauren Hay has announced the 2012 schedule.

The Patriots open the new season with an exhibition at the Longwood Spring Play Day on February 4 before kicking off a six-game homestand beginning with St. Francis on February 11. Mason will then play host to Johns Hopkins (Feb. 18), UMBC (Feb. 25) and George Washington (Feb. 29) to close out the month of February. The Patriots kick off the month of March with a visit from Boston on March 3 before closing out the homestand welcoming Albany on March 10 for the Power in Pink contest.

Mason will then hit the road for the next four contests first visiting Liberty on March 14 and round out its Spring Break portion of the schedule at High Point on March 17. Non-conference play will conclude with a trip to American on March 21.

CAA action will begin on March 31 as the Patriots travel to James Madison, closing out the four-game road swing.

Mason will return to George Mason Stadium for three straight conference matchups: Drexel (April 6), Hofstra (April 8) on Senior Day and Old Dominion (April 13).

The 2012 regular season schedule will finalize with three games on the road for the Patriots, first traveling to William & Mary (April 15). Mason visits Towson on April 20 before closing out regular season play at Delaware on April 22.

The top four seeds from the CAA will qualify for the conference tournament, which will be held at the highest seed April 27 & 29.
