Men's Swimming Wins Potomac Relays

Men Finish Second as Women Place Third at the Conclusion of the Patriot Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. - At the conclusion of the three day Patriot Invitational, Mason's men placed second overall with an overall team score of 657, while the women placed third with a team score of 702.

On the final day, Mason had just one win but was able to maintain their Friday position in the standings with consistently steady performances.  The men were able to win the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:03.85, raced by senior Preston Wolter, junior David Kiss, sophomore Joey Kelly and senior Austin Witherow.

Senior Ashley Danner was once again the main story for the women on Saturday.  Despite finishing second in the 100-yard freestyle finals, Danner was able to set a meet record in the preliminary round with a time of 50.20.  Danner was also a part of the women's second place finishing 400-yard freestyle relay team.

The next event on Mason's schedule is the US National Championships, hosted by Georgia Tech University, beginning on Thursday, December 1st and concluding on Saturday, December 3rd
