RICHMOND, Va- Seniors Derrick Butts and Ashley Danner have earned CAA Male Diver of the Week and CAA Female Swimmer of the Week honors for their performances last weekend against University of Toronto and University of Richmond.

Butts earned Diver of the Week honors after finishing first in the 1 and 3 meter dives in a defeat to Toronto. In the 1 meter dive Butts scored 374.4, a new Patriot record and then posted a score of 292.72 in the 3 meter event.  This is the third consecutive meet where Butts has won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive and taken home the CAA Male Diver of the Week Honor.

Danner won Female Swimmer of the Week by leading Mason's charge with individual wins in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.58) and 200 breaststroke (2:16.91) events. She was also the second leg in the Patriots' winning 200 medley relay team that won with a time of 1:46.23. Danner was a part of all three women's victories in a tri-meet with Toronto and Richmond.

Mason will compete again on both Friday and Saturday in the CAA POD Meet at home in the Aquatic Center against William and Mary, Old Dominion, Northeastern and the James Madison women.
