The final event for the Patriots was the varsity 8 in which two boats represented Mason. The Patriots earned third-place finishes in both races with times of 07:35.20 and 07:00.00, respectively. Drexel took first in both with times of 07:10.33 and 06:55.30, respectively.

"The girls raced well," commented head coach Geoff Dillard. "We did not spend a lot of time training for a 2000m race, we just wanted to compete, and we did that.

"We have a lot of work ahead of us to get ready for the spring season," continued Dillard. "We have a good group of student-athletes that work hard and have a great attitude, so I know they will do what it takes to be successful come spring time."
