FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason rowing team is set to open the fall portion of its 2011 schedule at the Occoquan Chase on Sunday, October 16. Racing will take place at Sandy Run Regional Park.

The Patriots will race six boats in the varsity 8, varsity 4 and novice 4. Beginning at 11 am, Mason will enter three boats in the varsity 8 and conclude racing with the varsity 4 and novice 4 at 1 p.m.

Mason will face such competitors as UNC Chapel Hill, Eastern Michigan, George Washington, Lafayette and Liberty in the race.
