The Mason women's tennis team finished a successful Tiger Invitational at Towson on Saturday by notching two more wins to go 3-1 for the weekend. Mason defeated St. Josephs 5-0 and then defeated Johns Hopkins 4-1. The Patriots improve to 4-1 on the season.
"I was very pleased with the teams performance this weekend", commented Coach Curtis. "Both freshmen and returners stepped up and played tough, Mason tennis."
Mason netters Alison Wingo, Ashley Delaney and Aryn Christman each won two matches today to help the Patriots win both contests today. Top singles player Kiersten Pappas won both her singles match and doubles match.
Women's tennis team is back in action next weekend as the host the Mason 3-2 Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Competing teams besides Mason are Georgetown, George Washington, Mt. St. Mary's and Virginia State.
