HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - George Mason senior Becky Anderson capped her outstanding four-year career this past weekend with two wins over Delaware, and after being recognized Monday as the Colonial Athletic Association's Softball Pitcher of the Week, Anderson was honored once again Tuesday as a member of the All-CAA Second Team, her third All-CAA selection.

Anderson has compiled an 11-7 record during the year with 21 starts in the circle, 14 of those going for complete games. The Oakton, Va., native has amassed a school-record 1.29 ERA and .183 opposing batting average, both of which rank second in the conference.

In addition to her record ERA, she set a school single-season record with seven complete-game shutouts and was a part of two more combined shutouts, as she struck out 83 batters compared to 19 walks in 136 innings of work. Anderson also found success at the plate, tallying 16 hits and eight RBIs during the season.

On March 20, Anderson tossed the fourth perfect game in school history, retiring all 15 batters she faced with six strikeouts in an 8-0 victory over Morgan State. Following that week, she earned CAA Pitcher of the Week honors on the first of three occasions during the season. Her selection is the 16th time a Mason softball player has garnered All-CAA recognition since 2002.

Anderson, an All-CAA first team selection in 2007 and 2009 helped lead the Patriots to a 21-24 record and 9-18 mark in CAA play, with Mason falling one win shy of a berth in this week's four-team CAA Championship.

The fifth-place finish in the standings is Mason's highest since 2002, and the Patriots tallied their highest win total since 2005. Her selection is the 16th time a Mason softball player has garnered All-CAA recognition since 2002.

The year-end conference awards were handed out on the eve of the tournament, as selected by a vote of the CAA's head coaches.
