The Patriots men's tennis team got back in the win column with a 6-1 victory at Morgan State. Four of the matches went three sets or into tiebreaker sets as Mason improves to 8-12.
The first four singles matches were well contested. The Patriots Patrick Mulquin won his match at No. 3 in three sets, winning the first then the third. The No. 2 and No. 4 matches were decided in a tiebreaker, with Mason's Kevin McMillen and Greg Donabedian winning their matches respectively. Morgan State Kevon Charles defeated Jorge Osuna at the top singles position, 6-6 (7-5), 6-1, (10-4) for the lone Bears point.
The Patriots won the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches for the doubles point. The team of Donabedian and Devin Leonard improve to 7-4 on the season with the win and McMillen/Mulquin improve to 2-1.
Mason finishes the regular season this week with Drexel at home Wednesday and on the road at LaSalle, Hofstra and Rider this weekend.
