Mason Lacrosse Hosts Old Dominion on Senior Day

FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason hosts Old Dominion on Sunday at 1 p.m. at George Mason Stadium in the final home women's lacrosse game of the regular season. The Patriots will hold a ceremony for their senior class prior to the start of the game.

Mason also plays on the road on Friday evening against No. 19 William and Mary. The Patriots enter the weekend with a 3-11 overall record and 0-4 mark in Colonial Athletic Association contests. George Mason has lost its last seven games. Old Dominion is currently 2-10 overall and 0-4 against CAA opponents. The Lady Monarchs, who have lost their last eight games, host No. 9 James Madison on Friday evening.

Junior attacker Madalyn Jamison leads the Patriots' offense into the contest. In Mason's last game against Drexel, Jamison tallied her 32nd and 33rd assists of the season to set a new single-season assist record at George Mason. The previous high of 31 was set in 2003 by Kristy Manas. Jamison, who is two assists away from tying the career record at George Mason, ranks third in the nation in assists per game and fifth in total assists.

Senior Ashley Kellogg leads Old Dominion with 35 goals this season. Teammate Lisa Bernardini is the Lady Monarchs' points leader with a total of 51 on 31 goals and 20 assists.

George Mason's senior class of goalkeeper Sara Longobucco, attacker Cristina Maurizi and attacker Megan Udovich will all play for the final time in front of the home crowd on Sunday afternoon. In addition to the senior ceremony, the game will also be the Broadside Game of the Week. All George Mason University students in attendance will receive a free Mason bobble clip while supplies last.

Individual tickets to women's lacrosse games cost $5 for adults and $2 for youth, senior citizens and George Mason University faculty and staff. All full-time enrolled students at George Mason University will be admitted free with a valid Mason student ID. Tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance to George Mason Stadium one hour prior to the start of the game.
