RICHMOND, Va. - George Mason junior Dwight Webley has been recognized as the Colonial Athletic Association's Men's Field Co-Athlete of the Week following an outstanding performance at last Saturday's Mason Spring Invitational in Fairfax.

Webley took first place in the long jump competition last weekend at the Mason Spring Invitational. His jump of 7.35 meters qualified him for the IC4A Championships in the event and was the top distance by a Mason jumper this season.

The Kingston, Jamaica native, who earned CAA Rookie of the Year honors, earns a berth in the IC4A Championships for the fifth time in his career. Prior to sitting out the 2009 season, Webley won both the IC4A and CAA title in the long jump during his freshman campaign in which he posted a career-best jump of 7.50 meters at the Penn Relays.

He is the second Mason athlete to win a CAA weekly award in 2010, as sophomore Rachaunn Ruffin was named the top men's track athlete on March 30. Webley shares Tuesday's award with Chase Renoll of Delaware.

The Patriots will be back in action on Saturday, traveling to both the James Madison Invitational in Harrisonburg and the Michael Johnson Classic in Waco, Texas.
