The women's tennis team defeated Rider University 7-0 to finish their three-game road trip with a 2-1 record. Mason won eight of their last 10 matches to improve to a record 21 wins (21-8) heading into the CAA Championships this coming weekend.
"This has been a solid season for this young Patriot team. I am very proud of them." stated Coach Curtis. "This win carries us into the conference tournament on a high note."
The Patriots Meredith Cutchin and Andrea Londen didn't lose a game in their straight set wins at No. 4 and 6 respectively. Brooke Blackwell only lost one game in her straight set win at No. 3 to improve to 18-1.
Mason won all three doubles matches to earn the point. The team of Cutchin and Catherine Crisostomo blanked the Rider team, 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
