FAIRFAX, Va. - Fresh off a pair of victories, the George Mason women's lacrosse team hosts the second-ranked team in the nation, the Maryland Terrapins, on Tuesday at George Mason Stadium. The opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.

After starting the season 0-2, Mason enters Tuesday's contest with wins in its last two games. The Patriots defeated in-state rival Virginia Tech 11-7 on Feb. 27 before beating GW 9-7 on March 3. Junior attacker Madalyn Jamison has been outstanding all season long, with seven goals and 12 assists for a team-high 19 points. Sophomore midfielder Emily Ellisen leads the Patriots in goals with 11.

Maryland has yet to lose a game this season and enters the game with a 4-0 record. In their last two games, the Terrapins have defeated No. 5 Duke and No. 9 Virginia. Senior midfielder Caitlyn McFadden leads the Terps with 13 goals and five assists for 18 points. Sophomore Karri Ellen Johnson has 11 goals and 17 points, and has scored at least one goal in 26 consecutive games.

Tuesday's game will be the first of the season for the Patriots at George Mason Stadium. Mason has played the majority of its home games at RAC Field due to unplayable field conditions at the stadium as a result of the snowstorm that hit the area during the month of February.

Individual tickets to women's lacrosse games cost $5 for adults and $2 for youth, senior citizens and George Mason University faculty and staff. All full-time enrolled students at George Mason University will be admitted free with a valid Mason student ID. Tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance to George Mason Stadium one hour prior to the start of the game.
