Mason Lacrosse Hosts a Pair of Nonconference Opponents this Weekend

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason women's lacrosse team welcomes a pair of nonconference foes to George Mason Stadium this weekend in Denver and California. The Patriots will play the Pioneers on Friday at 3 p.m. and the Golden Bears on Sunday at noon.

Mason enters the contest with a 3-4 overall record after defeating American by a final score of 13-9 on Wednesday afternoon at Jacobs Field in Washington, D.C. The win snapped the Patriots' two-game losing streak.

Denver enters Friday's game with a 6-3 overall record. The Pioneers won five straight games before losing on March 20 to then-No.20 Rutgers by a final score of 11-8. California enters Sunday's contest with a 2-6 overall record. The Golden Bears lost a close contest to William and Mary 10-8 on Wednesday.

Individual tickets to women's lacrosse games cost $5 for adults and $2 for youth, senior citizens and George Mason University faculty and staff. All full-time enrolled students at George Mason University will be admitted free with a valid Mason student ID. Tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance to George Mason Stadium one hour prior to the start of the game.

Denver and California will be the final nonconference opponents the Patriots face this season until an April 13 matchup at Virginia. Mason begins its CAA schedule with a road game at Delaware on Friday, April 9 at 7 p.m.
