The Mason women's tennis team fell short in their bid to upset Radford on Sunday suffering a 5-2 defeat to the Highlanders. The Patriots lost two of the three doubles matches to lose the doubles point and picked up two singles win's for the two points. The Patriots fall to 13-6 on the season.
The match was highlighted by tough performances by No. 1 doubles team Kiersten Pappas and Lindsay Gray winning their doubles match and then by Brooke Blackwell and Meredith Cutchin winning their singles matches for the two Patriot points. The victory for Blackwell kept her personal win streak alive at nine straight in singles. After having knee surgery over the summer and then rehabilitation during the fall semester Brooke lost her first match of this semester but has gone undefeated since.
