FAIRFAX, Va. - Fresh off its first victory of the 2010 season, the George Mason women's lacrosse team hopes to add to its win total when it hosts George Washington University in a nonconference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at RAC Field. Wednesday's game is the Broadside Game of the Week. All George Mason University students in attendance will receive a free Mason flashlight keychain while supplies last.

In addition to the keychain giveaway, the first 100 fans at the game will receive a coupon for a free pizza from Papa John's. Individual tickets to women's lacrosse games cost $5 for adults and $2 for youth, senior citizens and George Mason University faculty and staff. All full-time enrolled students at George Mason University will be admitted free with a valid Mason student ID. Tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance to RAC Field one hour prior to the start of the game.

In their last game on Saturday against Virginia Tech, the Patriots scored the final four goals of the contest to take an 11-7 victory against their in-state rival and improve to 1-2 overall. Mason was led by junior attacker Madalyn Jamison, who finished with three goals and four assists for seven points, and sophomore midfielder Emily Ellisen, who netted a team-high five goals.

George Washington enters Wednesday's contest with a similar 1-2 record this year. The Colonials took an 11-2 loss at the hands of James Madison in their last game. Sophomore midfielder Sarah Phillips leads the team in goals (7) and points (8) this season. Junior Liz Hoffman has played every minute in goal for the Colonials with a total of 42 saves.

Wednesday's game will be the third consecutive game played at RAC Field, which is located adjacent to the RAC, to start the season. The team has been unable to play its home games at George Mason Stadium as the playing surface is still covered in snow from the major snowstorm that hit the area during the month of February.
