George Mason's golf team currently stands in 12th place after the first of three rounds at the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Southwood Golf Course in Tallahassee. The Patriots are just one stroke behind Georgia State and three strokes out of 10th place in the three day 14-team tournament.

Mason's Marshall Tinsley leads the Patriots after shooting an even-par 71 and finishing tied for 13th place overall. Josh Apple shot a three-over par 74 for the Patriots.

The No. 8 Florida State men's golf team leads after the first day of Seminole Intercollegiate and University of North Carolina's Jack Fields leads the field after carding a five-under 66.
