OMAHA, Neb. - Sophomore Mendbagana Tovuujav and junior Brandon Bucher will both wrestle tomorrow on the opening day of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb. Tovuujav will be making his second straight appearance at the national tournament, while Bucher will be making his first appearance.

The first round of the tournament will begin tomorrow at noon ET. Tovuujav will take on Justin Zeerip of Michigan in the first round. Zeerip, a redshirt sophomore, enters the tournament with a 28-19 overall record. Bucher will wrestle sixth-ranked Matthew Kyler of Army, who currently has a 30-3 overall record.

Tovuujav enters the tournament as the 12th seed at 174 pounds with a 30-8 overall record and eight falls this season. At the CAA Championships, Tovuujav, the defending conference champion, advanced to the championship bout, where he lost to Binghamton's Josh Patterson. Tovuujav will be searching for his first win at the tournament after losing a pair of close matches to ranked wrestlers as a freshman last year.

Bucher earned the first NCAA Championships berth of his career with a third-place finish at 149 pounds at the CAA Championships. Bucher lost his first match of the conference tournament but rebounded to win three straight to win the consolation bracket. The Dillsburg, Pa. native won the consolation championship bout with an 8-2 decision over Drexel's Brett McCurdy.

ESPNU, ESPN and ESPN360.com will combine for expanded live coverage of the 80th annual NCAA Wrestling Championships on Friday and Saturday. The Championships will be telecast entirely in high definition.

The quarterfinals will air Friday at 10:30 a.m. ET, and the semifinals at 7 p.m., both on ESPNU. ESPNU will televise the Championship Medal Round on Saturday at 11 a.m., and the hunt for the Division I title culminates with the finals at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN. During the finals, two referees per match each will wear a microphone, providing fans with even more access to and understanding of the action.

ESPN360.com, ESPN's broadband sports television network, will simulcast ESPNU's presentation of the quarterfinals Friday and the finals on Saturday. During the quarterfinals, ESPN360.com will devote a single feed to each of the four mats, giving viewers the option to stay with one mat.
