George Mason's men's tennis team lost 5-2 to Christopher Newport at the indoor courts at Monclair Country Club on Saturday. CNU swept all three doubles matches to earn the point and won four of the singles matches as they drop the Patriots to 2-3 in the spring dual match season.
Four of the six singles matches were extended past two sets with the Patriots claiming wins in the top two singles spots. Sophomore Jorge Osuna won his match by taking the first set then winning the tie-breaker set 7-6(7-4). Freshman Kevin McMillen won the Patriots second point from the No. 2 position in three sets as well, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
The Patriots are back in action next Saturday against Richmond.
