Fairfax, Va. - The George Mason softball team will be hosting the Joe Verbanic
Five Tool Softball Camps starting in January. This is a chance for
players of all ages to take their game to the next level and have a
chance to work with coaches and other staff at George Mason.
The first clinic is for beginner and intermediate pitching and
will take place on January 16, 2011 focusing on the mechanics, grips and
pitch variety of pitching fundamentals. The next clinic will be on
January 23rd and will be a focus on the advanced fundamentals of
pitching. January 30th will be the next clinic and will teach
participants on the aspects of bunting and slapping techniques. A
general clinic focused on all aspects of softball will take place on
February 6th. This will include hitting, defensive skills and pitching.
February 13th is the last clinic and will also focus on all aspects of
softball but aimed towards an older group of ages 13 and up.
