Richmond, Va. - Junior Ashley Danner was recognized today by the Colonial Athletic Association as the women's swimmer of the week. She shares the award with Meredith Budner of Towson. Danner was given this honor because of her performance in this past weekend's CAA Pod Meet in Wilmington, N.C. This was the second time she received the award this year and seventh time in her college career.

On the women's side of the pod meet, Danner was Mason's top performer again and finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.75, and first in the 200-yard breaststroke finishing in a time of 2:19.06. She also placed seventh in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:10.86.

Danner and the Patriots will compete again when they host the Patriot Invitational from November 19th to November 21st.
