Troy, N.Y. - George Mason competed in the Northeast Duals Saturday and lost in all three matchups on the day. They suffered a 34-12 loss to Bloomsburg, a 40-6 loss to Columbia, and a 40-3 loss to Lehigh. Cayle Byers continued his perfect season by going 3-0 on the day. Denny Herndon and Brandon Bucher were the only other Mason wrestlers to record victories as Mason was also forced to forfeit in the 125 and 133 weight classes.

Byers dominated the mat once again as he recorded victories in every matchup. He received a win by forfeit against Bloomsburg, a fall against Mike Pushpak of Columbia, and a 2-1 decision over Joe Kennedy of Lehigh. Other wins came from Denny Herndon and Brandon Bucher who beat Derek Shingara and Josh Roosa of Bloomsburg in 3-1 and 10-7 decisions, respectively.

The team hopes to rebound in New Brunswick, N.J. on December 11th where they will take on Rutgers and Princeton. The first match is set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
