Bucknell Invitational Draws
LEWISBURG, Pa. - Mason women's tennis newcomer Yasmin Fotovat won her two singles matches today at the Bucknell Invitational, advancing to the Flight C singles final at the Varsity Tennis Courts on Saturday. Fotovat defeated Jackie Finn (Colgate) 6-2, 6-2 then defeated teamate Brooke Blackwell, ending her 25-match winning streak, to earn a spot in the finals on Sunday. She will face Lucy Nutting from UConn.
On the men's side Pat Mulquin defeated Conner Feuille in the semifinals in Flight B singles, then lost in the quarterfinals to Kelly Morque from Bucknell. The Mason doubles team of Mike Phaup and Steve Hyre will play in the Flight B Doubles Consolation final on Sunday after deafeating UConn's team of Burns/Cardona(Uconn), 9-7.
Several Patriots will play in the consolation bracket on Sunday. In Flight A Mason teamates McMillen and Jorge Osuna will battle against each other. Mike Phaup will play in Flight C singles. Alison Wingo and Ashley Dleaney will play their singles consolation matches in Flight B.
