Sophomore Mendbagana Tovuujav earned CAA Co-Wrestler of the Week honors following an outstanding performance at Saturday's CAA Duals at the Field House. Tovuujav posted a perfect 4-0 record at the annual event.
Tovuujav, a 174-pounder from Ulaanbaatar City, Mongolia, compiled a fall, technical fall, major decision and a decision in four matches at the CAA Duals. With his perfect record at the Duals, Tovuujav improved to 22-7 overall and 4-0 in the CAA during the 2009-10 season.
Tovuujav split the award with Ben Clymer of Hofstra University. Clymer, a sophomore 184-pounder, also went 4-0 at the CAA Duals. The Rookie of the Week was Paul Snyder of Hofstra, who compiled a 4-0 record at the heavyweight class.
George Mason wrestles again on Saturday, when it travels to Philadelphia, Pa. to take on both Drexel and Missouri in a tri-meet. The Patriots begin the day with a 5 p.m. CAA dual meet against Drexel.
