The women's tennis team hosted the 3rd annual Mason Women's 3-2 Invitational this past weekend, with teams from George Washington, Loyola, Howard, Mount St. Mary's and Virginia State competing. Mason played three of the five matches originally scheduled. The Patriots continued their successful fall season by winning 12 of 17 individual matches in the rain-shortened event.

Freshmen roommates Kiersten Pappas and Alison Wingo both went 2-0 to help lead the Patriots. Pappas remained undefeated improving her record to 6-0 in singles this season and Wingo improved to 5-1.

"I was very pleased with our performance as a team" stated Coach Coach. "I like where this team is at this point in the season."

The team will head to Bucknell next weekend for the Bucknell Invitational October 2-4 before returning to host St. Francis (PA) on October 17.
