RICHMOND, Va. - George Mason sophomore Everett Hackett was selected the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the Colonial Athletic Association announced on Tuesday afternoon. Hackett ran the Patriots' fastest time of the young season on Saturday morning at the Lou Onesty Invitational at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va.

Hackett finished in third place at the meet, clocking in at 25:10.50 on the 8k course. The Hartford, Conn. native's performance helped lead the Patriots to a fourth-place team finish at the event.

Up next for the Patriots is the Mason Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Bull Run Park in Centreville, Va. The men's 8k begins at 10 a.m., followed by the women's 6k at 10:45 a.m.
