The Mason women's tennis team took all nine matches against the Shepherd University Rams to remain undefeated on the season with their fifth straight win. The Patriots didn't lose a set in the win that was played in Shepherdstown, WVa.

The Green and Gold have a lot of new faces on the team, fielding three new doubles teams from last season. Two freshman, Kiersten Pappas and Alison Wingo, defeated the Rams No. 1 team, 8-5. Junior Lindsay Gray was paired with freshman Cece Greco at No. 2 singles and they won 8-4. The final doubles team was comprised of freshman Andrea Londen and veteran Catherine Crisostomo and they won 8-4.

In singles action, Pappas defeated Bolster, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Gray easily defeated her opponent at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Wingo and Greco won the middle matches and veteran Meredith Cutchin and Aryn Christman defeated the opponents in the No. 5 and 6 positions.

The Patriots will be off for a few weeks until they host St. Francis (PA) on October 17th at Noon.
