The Mason women's tennis team got off to the best start in school history by going undefeated as a team at the Tiger 4-1 Invitational this past weekend. In a rain interrupted tournament weekend the netters defeated Mt. St. Mary's 3-2 on Saturday and then returned Sunday to defeat St. Joseph's 5-0, Towson 3-2, and Loyola 4-1.

"I use this tournament to see what we as a team are made of and what we need to focus on". I saw a tremendous team effort from players up and down the line-up", stated Coach Curtis.

The Patriots, besides going undefeated as a team, won 15 individual matches while only losing five. Four players also were undefeated individually. Junior Lindsay Gray and freshman Kiersten Pappas led the team with four match wins each, while junior Aryn Christman added three wins, and freshman Andrea Londen had two wins. "We had some wonderful individual performances but this group showed that there is no 'I' in this team" added Coach Curtis. "I am so proud of this team".
