FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Senior Ryann Hendricks will look to finish her George Mason track and field career with a national title as she will represent the Patriots at this week's NCAA Championships, being held Wednesday through Saturday at the University of Arkansas's John McDonnell Field.

The Chicago, Ill., native earned a spot in the national championships by virtue of her fifth-place finish at the NCAA East Regional Championships two weekends ago. At the meet in Greensboro, N.C., Hendricks jumped to a distance of 13.11 meters, the highest in her flight. Her mark, which bested her previous career high by nearly one-half of a meter, ranks third all-time among Mason's female triple jumpers.

Among the field, Hendricks is ranked 23rd out of 27 athletes. The triple jump qualifying round is set for 3 p.m. central time on Friday, and the top-12 jumpers will move on to the finals, set for noon CDT on Saturday afternoon.

This season, Hendricks was named the Co-Most Outstanding Women's Field Performer of the CAA Championships after capturing the conference's triple jump title and placing second in the long jump. She qualified for the NCAA East Regionals in both events, as well as a pair of top-five finishes at the ECAC Championships in May.
