The Women's tennis team swept the Winston-Salem State Rams in straight sets to cruise to a 7-0 win on Saturday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Complex. Mason improves to 7-9 while the Rams fall to 1-18.

The Patriots cruised through the doubles matches to gain the doubles point. Mason's No. 1 singles team of Lindsay Gray and Brooke Blackwell won 8-2. The No. 2 and 3 teams both won by an 8-1 count.

In singles action, four matches were won by losing only one game in the two sets. Gray defeated Shannon Loughnan at No. 1 and Blackwell defeated Johanna Nunez at No. 2 singles. Aryn Christman defeated Tina Wright and Stephanie Longueira won their matches at No. 5 and No. 6 respectively.
